Born and raised in Kitchener, Dr. Suljak graduated from St. Jerome’s High School. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1995 from Western Ontario and then was an intern on staff at The Toronto Hospital for a year focusing on the care of medically-compromised patients. In 1998, Dr. Suljak completed a 2-year residency in Dental Anaesthesia at the University of Toronto where he received his Diploma in Dental Anaesthesia. He is trained to provide dental services employing a range of sedation options for patients, from nitrous oxide/oxygen (lauging) gas to oral sedation to intravenous sedation.
He practiced family dentistry and dental anaesthesiology in Oakville and Whitby before returning home to open Dentistry At University Downs in Waterloo in 2000.
Dr. Suljak is married to Dr. Scolieri and live in Kitchener with their two children. In his spare time, Dr. Suljak is part of his church’s finance committee and also helps his kids’ ringette and hockey teams.
